Satellite dishes are communication devices. I often use them as such a device in my artwork. The prison industrial complex in America is disproportionately filled with individuals of African ancestry. This is one of the scars of the transatlantic slave trade and the development of the 13th Amendment to the U.S. constitution. After the civil war ended legalized slavery, the 13th Amendment provides for involuntary servitude as "punishment for a crime". Women in prison make extra "money" or "favors" braiding cellmates hair.
