A Cry for Peace

Picture
A Cry for Peace, Acrylic on Linen (2006)
Acrylic On Linen (30" x 24" x 0.5")
(2006)

A child cries, a grandfather buries his grandchild, a soldier dies, a mother mourns. The lotus flower signifies rebirth and hope. To quote Michael Franti, "We can bomb the world to pieces but we can't bomb it into peace".
